The frightening face of meth addiction...

One of the main reasons for writing my book was to shine the light of understanding on meth addiction from my own perspective. Of course, the journey may be different for everyone, but for me, one of the pivotal moments was when I left my life of addiction behind. I found that some people, including some of my closest friends, were almost afraid of me. They didn't know what to expect when they saw me. Some avoided me. Some didn't know what to do, but simply did their best. Others helped me enormously. I don't think we can judge anyone for their responses. The old television campaigns that depicts meth addicts as violent monsters imprinted fear onto many people. I hope, that by sharing my story, I can put a 'human' face to the very real battle of meth addiction.
