One thing I have learnt on my healing journey is that no matter how dark it gets, there is always hope. You can recover. You can come back from addiction to live the life you are meant to live. For you. For your family. For your children and their children.

The reality of meth; promising heaven, then handing you hell. You make excuses and prepare yourself to let everything else go. You become willing to give up on yourself, your children, your family… and the further down that road you go the harder it is to turn around.
With all your emotional pain to feed off, addiction is there waiting to enslave you. You are lured into that secret world and onto the crazy carousel. The ride that’s always fun in the beginning, until it spins faster and faster. Then, when it finally loses control, which it inevitably will, it isn’t fun anymore. Instead, it becomes a horror ride. Throwing the thrill seekers off to send them straight down the slippery slope to hell.
It is so easy to give up when you are in a bad dark place- I know. But if you give up now, you will miss the moment when the light begins to shine in again. And that moment is amazing.
