Celebrating womanhood...

Recently I had the opportunity to take part in a photo shoot with a very dear friend. A friend who has been with me through thick and thin, from the very beginning of my recovery journey, when I was a shattered mess.

This beautiful lady helped me without question, supported me without judgement, and walked with me through the darkness without so much as flinching.

I remember feeling in awe of her kindness. After living through what I had, and facing such unkindness in my relationship, I was surprised that someone could be so kind to me without wanting anything in return. It was a great lesson early on for me; that generally speaking, people are kind and good.

There isn't much this woman doesn't know about me, and feeling that comfortable to be myself around her was integral to capturing such beautiful photographs. Photos to be treasured forever, for me and my family. Photos that celebrate how far I have come.

Celebrating all that I am;

Strong. Resilient.

Nurturing. Soft.
